The chicken in a chicken chop is actually a solid protein hit, 38g, which is great. The problem is everything sharing the plate with it. The fries are 300 plus calories on their own, the gravy is thickened with butter and flour, and the coleslaw is basically cabbage swimming in mayo.
If they deep-fry the chicken with a flour batter, you are adding another layer of oil on top. Ask for grilled and you save a good 150. A grilled chicken chop plate is honestly not a bad meal at all, it is the deep-fried version drowning in gravy and fries that tips it over.
