The real talk

Do not confuse Sarawak laksa with the sour Penang one bro. They are totally different animals. Sarawak laksa is built on a sambar paste fried in oil and a broth enriched with coconut milk, so it is closer to curry laksa in richness. That broth alone is around 200 calories before you touch the noodles. The upside is the protein is genuinely good, around 28g from the chicken, prawns and egg.

At 550 calories it is not a light bowl, but it is a complete one. The fresh prawns, shredded chicken and egg give you real protein for the calories, which is more than you can say for a lot of noodle dishes. Just know the coconut broth is doing the calorie work.
