Kuih seri muka looks innocent, that pretty green custard on white sticky rice. But both layers are built on coconut milk, the rice is steamed in santan and the custard is coconut cream, egg and sugar. So one modest piece is around 130 calories, mostly coconut fat and sugar. It is not huge, but it is denser than it looks.
The trap with all kuih is the same bro: you do not eat one. You grab three or four off the tray with your kopi and that is 400 plus calories of treats you barely registered. One piece as a treat is totally fine. The pile is the problem.
